Jon Dollar YRT-500
Over the past 15 years I have studied under the guidance of Godfrey Devereux, creator of the Dynamic Yoga Training Method. I have completed multiple apprenticeships and numerous workshops with Godfrey as well as with other Senior Dynamic Yoga Trainers and have studied in depth all five traditional forms of yoga: hatha yoga, karma yoga, bhakti yoga, jnana yoga, and raja yoga. I have well over 1000 contact training hours studying the theory, practice, and teaching of yoga postures, breathing, and meditation according to the organic principles of integrity, inherent to the human body-mind. My educational experience in both Western Bio-medicine as well as Oriental Medicine has deepened my understanding of yoga by affording me insight into what is actually happening anatomically, physiologically, and energetically while unfolding through the consciousness states of the eight limbs of yoga.
Dynamic Yoga
The Dynamic Yoga Training Method is a non dual somatic methodology of self inquiry. It explores a unique approach to yoga posture practice as meditation in action. Dynamic yoga uses rhythmic repeated movements to prepare the body for genuine stillness within classical yoga postures. By using the integrating dynamic of the bandhas throughout the whole body, a deep intimacy with breath, body, mind, and consciousness becomes effortlessly possible. Its simplicity, which is its power, invites anyone ready to feel deeply, to become intimate with the peace, and vibrant love, we most truly are. Dynamic yoga exudes the inextricable unity of yoga and life.
